« For over 50 years, Laboratoires Pierre Fabre has been committed to developing and preserving the plant kingdom.

It was in this spirit that René Furterer set up a new supply chain for ETHICAL SHEA BUTTER in Burkina Faso with a young organisation, SOTOKACC, founded by Nathalie Ouattara, a woman who is wholly committed to her village’s economic and social development.

Through this partnership, René Furterer:

- Guarantees shea butter of an unrivalled quality, corresponding to our pharmaceutical requirements and manufactured in the pure African tradition through simple mechanical pressure (without additives or solvents).

- Establishes fair, supportive and responsible relationships in the long term.

For over 5 years the brand has committed itself on several levels by sharing its knowledge to increase production of the butter and by giving SOTOKACC a mechanical press that has eliminated the tiresome churning phase.

It is thanks to this ethical collaboration that the Burkina women have been able to improve their methods and make production of this "Green Gold" sustainable, to produce a top-quality active substance, richer in essential fatty acids, for use in our emblematic beauty product: Karité intense nourishing mask."
